Original: HTC Hero launch in Russia

Last week brought one of the more interesting events in Russian telecoms: HTC officially launched an Android smartphone here. The HTC Hero goes on sale in September for all the brand's fans. Frankly, it's one of the best Android phones in the world right now, with a well-designed interface, interesting widgets, a built-in Twitter client and good speed. It's also HTC's first phone with multi-touch, so you can control things on screen with more than one finger. You know what I mean.
HTC launched it with MTS, which will have exclusive sales through its own stores at first. MTS now has 3,000 of those, by the way. Are they about to overtake Euroset? As usual, a few photos from the launch are below.
A lot of attention went to HTC Sense, the phone's interface layer and the real gem here. It's quick, does everything you'd expect and even supports some add-ons. You've probably read a review or two by now, so you know how it works. If not, Mobile-Review has one.
